this was good. the dialogue was interesting, but im' just a bit confused. i feel like i missed something. i dunno. i'm gonna try and read the second chapter. if i'm still mad confused well then i dunno. maybe it's me. got no idea what's going on

I've just spent the better part of a weekend reading "Shades of Grey" straight through. I'd never heard of the story (nor the author) before and I am appalled that I hadn't! How do treasures such as this tale get set aside and not recc'd to the high heavens? I'm so grateful that I had occasion to do some mindless surfing and that my desire to read a completed story with comedic elements steered me here. I'll definitely be following on and reading the remaining Linkedverse stories.

Yes it is, and I can't quite remember if I ever read more than this fic. I'll make a start on it now but I must get to bed. At least I have something to look forward to when I've finally got my essay written. Loved reading this again. The wit is well worth it alone.

I just discovered this story and am so glad. It's fab! I loved the teasing snark of Buffy and Spike. It hit just the right tone for both of them and sounded completely in character. I'm looking forward to the sequels.
This was a really "Good" story!!! :) Lot's of fun, with crazy thing's happening, and little bits of fear/tension/angst to keep it interesting. Enjoyed it very much. Excellent!!!
More splainy bits - and the Pizza boy is remembered (poor sod LOL!) and then my fav bit Spike in loony tunes boxers gargling errr swishing blood around his mouth :)

Angel needs another hearty smack though have to admit Spike'd declaration of love in the Bronze covers that :) And his realisation that they were never meant to be is echoed by the girly voice! Love it all to bits - a sublime fic!
I love the slow development of linky based things it's perfectly paced as is the way you are letting the relationship develop - no leaping into arms or bed a slow and believable development to the SPuffyness :)

You'd think the Scoobies would know better - demon tied up in Spike's crypt it's like that for a reason and not some sort of Modern art piece :) Snarly vampy Giles is an insipred idea and hell yeah if the Slayer wants him moved in why is he complaining LOL!
LOL Spike is a flirt glancing through his lashes at Buffy! His meltdown over breaking and karking it is just wonderful and then Apollyon's warbling cries and them gagging him :) Paul Bunyan line is a killer :)
I love the Scoobie interaction here and also Buffy in link mode is wonderful the one sided convo is a classic! And then Dru and her friend arrive :) ohh Dru is not a happy bunny and Spike's leetle social disease ROFL!
And then the bonus level ^_^ ohhh his heart is beating I know what's coming but have to revel in this delightful chapter :)
Sublime chappie! I adore this fic so much I even have this new version all printed off for rereading :) Love the new look Spike, adore the linkie and their wee love snake infection :) and then the dream which gives so much depth to Spike antipathy towards Angel and Buffy finally understands so much!

I love mystical stuff and it's a whoot when the PTB pop in for a bit of a surprise visit. Love how close they are so naturally. Ad poor Giles, completely succumbing to something even the PTB hadn't forseen but were the cause of. Wonderful chapter.
Very moving. I have tears in my eyes. I love how you haven't had them just fall into love straight away. There's still reserve there and that's very realistic.
I actually feel sorry for Angel, and Spike being so uncertain of where he fits in and what he is any more. Very heartfelt. Beautifully done.
I love hw you're portraying Anya. Her voice is pure and it's just so funny how she interjects into everything to draw attention. Just like the show. And now Buffy's having Spike move in. Perfect!

It's all so positive for Buffy, really. If she'd just open her mind to him....some really lovely moments here, like Spike's uncertaintly and reassertion that no, Buffy ins't an addiction but someone worth living for. I love it. And Buffy's more soft reaction to Spike speaks volumes.
