Author’s Note: This was written before season 7 aired and was my second or third ever fanfic and probably extremely unlikely given the way the show went, so apologies for that. It won an award back then but I don’t have it anymore (stupid people who break into apartments and steal computer stuff). Tara’s death also hit quite home for me when the show aired because my grandfather died in a very similar way when I was a little older than Dawn’s age, so this fic is personal for that reason and it’s why it’s dedicated to my mom.
