Originally posted as part of my "The Slayer and the Vampire" story, so if you feel like you've read this before, that would be why! My scenes for the comics ended up becoming actual full-length stories so I'm now posting them all as standalones. This is part 1 in a series of... uh... so far 5 but that might change. 
 
This one, set in Season 8, is definitely a fix-it. Makes reference to events happening all throughout the season, but takes place at the end of Issue #40, "Last Gleaming Part 5." Banner by me.
