Questionaire for all writers and fanfic authors (courtesy of the Magic Box prompt page);

1. How and when did you get into fanfic? - It was toward the end of 2009, after finishing all four Twilight Saga books in four days and feeling like I needed more. I started reading Twilight fanfic and a year later, when I had practically run out, I started writing. Another year later, when I decided to re-watch Buffy for the millionth time, that's when I got the idea to check out Spuffy fanfic, as well. And the rest, as they say, is history.

2. What was the first fanfic/ship you read? - As mentioned before, I read Twilight, and I was definitely all about Bella/Edward. I don't actually remember the very first story I read, but one of them was called LOST and was a wonderful New Moon AU that really set the standard for future stories in my mind. I've read it a few more times, since.

3. Favourite author(s)? - I adore anything and everything from Wonder and Ashes, maryperk, Mia Vaan, ImmortallySpuffy, and those are just off the top of my head. Mostly, though, I like a single story so it's hard to think of more.

4. Favourite fanfic(s)? - Origins series, anything by maryperk and Wonder and Ashes, most Time Travel stories that are complete and well-written, at least half of EnigmaticBlue's stories, and for the Twilight verse, A Pound of Flesh, The Butterfly Effect, LOST, and many more that I can't remember since I haven't been a part of that particular verse in years.

5. Favourite/least favourite ship? - My favorite is, of course, Spuffy, and my least favorite is Bangel or Biley, or even Cangel. Ew, blech.

6. Favourite/least favourite character? - Favorite is Spike and, believe it or not, my least favorite is Buffy. Funny, huh.

7. Favourite/least favourite genre to read? - Favorite genre is definitely time travel, least favorite is All Human.

8. Things you really dislike in fanfic? - Someone who's completely OOC without any explanation to make it seem plausible, excessive character bashing for no reason other than the author really disliking the character on the show, and something that really gets on my nerves is when a British author doesn't recognize that she/he is writing American characters. A personal annoyance of mine.

9. How do you feel about fanon? - I have no problem with it, using whatever I feel is useful in a story, though the author should point out the differences before letting the readers begin reading the story.

10. Turn ons/turn offs when it comes to reading fanfic? - A turn on is well-developed characters, a very unique plot, focusing on more than just the two main love interest characters, a turn off is when Spuffy fall in love waaay too soon, even if set in S5 or S6, hating on Xander for no apparent reason, changing someone's personality to fit with the story you plan on writing.

11. How do you feel about AUs? - I love them and actually have plans to write quite a few in the future.

12. Long fics or short fics? - I actually used to be against oneshots, for some strange reason, but these days if the summary really catches my eye, I'll read them. I am a lot more into long, epic length stories, though, like the Origins series or the time travel gem Back Track and it's sequels.

13. Has a fanfic ever become a headcanon for you? - Not sure what that means so I'll refrain from answering this and looking like an idiot.

14. Underrated ships? - A story like Origins introduced me to the possibilities of Dawn/Wesley, I loved Willow/Wesley after reading Avocation and it's sequel, and I love writing Wes/Anya or Dawn/Lawson or Faith/Lawson myself.

15. Do you think the quality of fanfic has gone up or down since the shows went off air? - I think the quality depends on the authors and we've got a lot of awesome ones who still write now even years later.

16. Got any headcanons? - Still don't know what means, sorry.

17. What type of fics does the BTVS/ATS fandom need more of? - We can never have too many time travel fics, in my opinion. I also think we need more crossovers, specifically with Charmed, as to me the possibilities are endless in that area. I also don't think we have enough Pre-Series that focuses on Buffy being Chosen and meeting Spike before going to Sunnydale.

18. Any WIPs you wish would be finished? - Oh, don't even get me started. Several of maryperks, including the awesome Dimension Adventures, several great time travel ones, just to name a few.

19. Which fanfic would you love to see as an episode? - Ooh, fun. Let's see, it would be cool if the show had been the stories in the Unexpected verse, or S6 had become the Origins series, it could even have been fun to see the show take inspiration from the story Second Youth, which was very funny and light hearted in my opinion, and just was S6, my least favorite season, needed.

20. Favourite place to read fic? - Well, since I only read them on my computer on my couch in my living room, that's quite an easy one.

21. Favourite episode? - It's impossible to choose just one, but here are a few; OMWF, Hush, The Body, Tabula Rasa, Halloween, Earshot, Nightmares, and so on.

22. Least favourite episode? - A lot of the S6 episodes, I, Robot...You, Jane, Surprise, Amends, really any Bangel specific episode heh.

23. Favourite villain? - Spike, hands down. Though I also quite enjoyed Mayor Wilkins, Glory, Drusilla and Faith.

24. Least favourite villain? - The trio were lame all the way through, even when Warren killed Tara and seemed dangerous all of sudden. We also saw too little of the Master to truly think of him as scarier than all the following ones. Angelus was scary at first, until I saw the flashbacks later in his own show and realized how lame the Angelus from Buffy S2 truly was in comparison.

25. Most annoying plothole? - The fact that Buffy's blood could close the portal, definitely.

26. Scariest thing in BTVS? - I don't think I was ever really scared by the show, though my clown fear was tested a bit in Nightmares, but I do think the Gentlemen were pretty unique in a terrifying way. I'd have to say a toss up between them and the bone-marrow sucking fiends from Family in S5.

27. Funniest thing in BTVS? - Ooh, but there's so much to choose from, little moments in each episode. Though I suppose a few episodes have more than others, such as Tabula Rasa, Him, Beer Bad and The Harsh Light of Day.

28. Which character with a small part do you wish had been developed more in the show? - Let's take it one season at a time. I would have loved a lot more development, and earlier on, from Amy in S1, Jonathan in S2, Cordelia post-break up in S3, Graham in S4, Clem in S5/S6, Amy and/or Rack in S6, and a handful of the Potentials in S7, including some background. I felt like we didn't really care about them, whether they died or not, due to how little we knew of them.

29. Did the show end too early, too late or at just the right time? - The fan in me thinks it should've gone on forever, but part of me thinks it should've ended at one of two points; Graduation Day in S3 or Buffy's death in S5, like Joss originally planned.

30. Character you wish didn’t get killed off? - All of them? Would have loved to see how Jesse would have changed the atmosphere of the whole gang or how helpful Tara would have been if she'd been around in S7. And, of course, what Giles would have become if Jenny hadn't died.

31. Fanon ship that you wish had been canon? - Oh the healthier version of Spuffy, no doubt. And a continued Xander/Cordelia where the latter didn't leave town in the S3 finale. As much as I adore Anya, her and Xander were completely wrong for one another.

32. If BTVS was to return to t.v., how would you like it to be done? - It had to be the same actors, if they used the same characters, no doubt. Otherwise, they could do a Slayer Academy type thing, or something with new characters and occasional cameos from the old ones, sorta like on 90210.

33. What’s canon to you? Just the show? Or do you include the comics in canon? - I do not include the comics in canon because it's absolutely ridiculous in so many ways. Only if specifically needed through a challenge will I even use it in a story.

34. Favourite season? - Either S3 or S5, can't really decide.

35. Least favourite season? - Definitely S6, despite holding a few of my favorite episodes.

36. Best twist/unexpected event? - Spike fighting to get his soul back, no doubt.

37. Which character, if any, should have had a spin-off? - Would have loved to see the Faith spin off that there was talks about after Chosen was aired.

38. One thing you wish had happened on the show? - Showing Dawn coming into her Key powers in S6, as a result of destroying Glory and thus ending her purpose as an innocent in the universe.

39. Best actor/actress on the show? - Hands down, Emma Caulfield, definitely.

40. Does the show hold up well all these years later? - Absolutely, just ask the younger generation...or the older one heh.

41. Most underrated character? - By the viewers or by the characters? Cause the characters always underrated Anya, which pissed me off, but the viewers...well that depends, again, on a person-by-person basis.

42. Saddest moment on the show? - Joyce's death, or more precisely, the first half of The Body when Buffy, Dawn and Anya, specifically, deal with what happened.

43. Favourite friendship on the show? - Spike and Dawn, definitely.

44. Absolute favourite moment on the show? - Please, like I can pick just one. Spike's "Hello, cutie," in Becoming, his speech to Buffy in Empty Places, Xander's heartfelt speech to Anya in S5 and the one to Dawn in S7, really love those beautiful speeches.

45. What do you love most about the show? - The fact that the Demons and evil doers take a backseat to real life problems and personal relationships, used more as metaphors than anything else, especially in the first three high school seasons. Also how unique each character is, making them perfect for writing fanfic by the way.

46. What are you working on right now? - As always, I've got several projects going at once. So I'm working on my WIP Se2en, a Charmed crossover and a challenge response set in S5.

47. What is the one story idea/type of fic you have always wanted to write but haven’t done yet? - Got an idea more than five years ago that I can't figure out how to begin but can't wait to write. It's not Spuffy and the two main characters are OC, which may be why I'm having trouble with it.

48. Favourite character to write? - I always have fun writing Anya and Faith, so those would probably be it, though I also like writing Xander and Cordelia, as well.

49. Least favourite character to write? - Angel, because I never know if I should bash him or not from story to story, and Giles due to his British stick-up-the-but language and way of thinking.

50. What is the story you are most proud of? - Oddly enough, not a Buffy verse story. It's Twilight, called Two Steps Back and time travel. I wrote almost twenty chapters before taking it down and got more than 200 reviews. It was my first real big attempt at an epic story and I think I did pretty well, though certainly I could do better these days.

51. What’s your favourite line you’ve ever written? - Wow, how am I supposed to remember that? Maybe the one from Flashbacks of Change that goes something like, "If she was the glue keeping them together, Buffy would prove to be the acetone?" Something like that. Was pretty good I guess, a reviewer even pointed it out.

52. How do you feel about WIPs? - I rarely read them, because you just know you'll love them and hate that they haven't been updated since 2006 or such. I'll do it now and then if it has regular updates, though, like Wonder and Ashes story about Slayer/Vampire reincarnation.

53. What’s the hardest thing to write well? - Romance, definitely. When my stories become WIPs, it's usually because Buffy and Spike are growing close to finally becoming an actual couple or discovering their feelings for one another. I supposed it's just because I've never been in love before, so I have a hard time writing something I've only seen in movies.

54. Is there anything you would never want to write? - I'm open to pretty much anything, from rape scenes, to incest, and such, just because it challenges you as an author and can also be very therapuetic if you've gone through a situation similar to the one you're writing about.

55. If you could choose one of your fics to be an episode, which one would you pick? - None of mine could be just one episode, but I guess I'd really want to watch the events of The Power of Three unfolding on the small screen, if I had to pick.

56. Canon or AU? - Forty percent canon, sixty percent AU, that's the best I can do.

57. Who is the better fighter? - Out of them all, definitely Buffy. She can kick any of their asses, and has, including Angel, Angelus, Spike, Faith and so on.

58. Who is more romantic? - I could see Tara being romantic, even if we never really saw it on the screen, and of course Spike, in his own twisted way.

59. Who is braver? - Definitely Xander, since he fights knowing he has no power to fall back on. Hate or love him, but the Zeppo is sooo brave.

60. “You’ll fight, you’ll shag, you’ll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you’ll never be friends.” Can this be applied to your ship? - Nope, I could definitely see Spuffy being friends, though there would always be feelings there, deep down. Some proof of that came for us in S7.

61. If you could sum up your ship using any BTVS/ATS episode title, which title would you pick and why? - I've Got You Under My Skin. Because Spike and Buffy really get under each others skin, whether in a bad or good way.

62. Would the characters undergo the Trial, as Angel does for Darla, for each other? - No doubt Spike would do it for Buffy, but the other way around may be wishful thinking, depending on the reasons why she is asked to do it.
